FindBigShoes

Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE]

FindBigShoes.com ("we," "us," "the site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write this in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate.

What we collect today

As of this writing, FindBigShoes.com does not require an account to browse or search the site. We do not currently collect names, email addresses, or other personal information directly from visitors, unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by emailing us).

Standard technical data. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) automatically log standard technical information as part of operating the site — things like IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used for security, performance, and diagnosing problems, not for building profiles of individual visitors.

Affiliate and outbound links. When you click a link to a retailer (such as Amazon) from this site, that retailer's own cookies and tracking technology may be used to credit us with a referral if you make a purchase. This is standard for affiliate marketing — see our Affiliate Disclosure for details. Once you leave FindBigShoes.com, that retailer's own privacy policy governs your data, not ours.

Cookies

FindBigShoes.com does not currently set its own tracking or advertising cookies. Outbound affiliate links may result in cookies being set by the destination retailer (see above). If this changes — for example, if we add site analytics or user accounts — we will update this policy and, if required by law in your location, ask for your consent.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not run third-party advertising on this site.
  • We do not currently have user accounts, so there are no passwords or personal profiles stored on our end.

As the site grows

We plan to add features in the future — such as user accounts, saved searches, and stock alerts — that will involve collecting information you provide directly (like an email address for alerts). When we do, this policy will be updated in advance to describe exactly what's collected, why, and how you can control or delete it. We won't quietly expand data collection without updating this page.

Children's privacy

FindBigShoes.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

Because we collect very little personal data today, there's little to manage. If you've contacted us directly (e.g. by email) and want that correspondence deleted, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL — PLACEHOLDER, UPDATE BEFORE LAUNCH] and we'll honor that request.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes, and for material changes (like adding accounts or analytics), we'll make a reasonable effort to note it prominently on the site.
